For some people these all mean the same thing. For others they are quite different. Distinguishing each of them is an important aspect of creating them in your life. Wealth usually refers to financial wealth. Prosperity in traditional terms refers to family, health and finances. Although Abundance can be a reference to a large amount of something - love, happiness, money, health - it is actually a lack of scarcity. Many people live in the view of scarcity. This dates back to the depression ara or earlier. This mentality of conserving, hoarding, hanging onto things we might need someday, comes from living in a lack of or scarcity, whether that be a lack of money, health, love, friends, work, clothes or joy.
In Feng Shui there are three very important rooms or locations in the home. Feng Shui is about balance. It is important that all areas of our homes and our lives are in balance. That being said, traditionally the following three areas area believed to have particular impact on occupants so they are a great place to start on your path to prosperity.
Feng Shui Prosperity for the Front Door/Entry The front door is considered to be the “mouth of Chi” – the opening through which Chi, or life energy, is brought to a structure. Consider it like your mouth and if you believe that you are what you eat, then you eat good things. So if your home is what is brought in through its front door, then you want to take care of how it looks, feels and what comes through it. In other words the front door is where Good Feng Shui for Wealth can enter. Should my front door be painted red?
Look at the view from your front door out. Do you like what you see? If not, can you change it by planting some flowers or pruning the shrubs that are there? Maybe you can paint the fence or camouflage the utility pole or box. Now take a tour from the outside in. Is the path abrupt or smooth? Does it meander or charge at you? Meandering paths are ideal as they are smooth and flowing rather than rushing. Keep the path clear: trip foliage and overhanging branches.
If you have placed potted plants be sure they do not block the path. Use plants with soft, rounded leaves. Pointed leaves are like swords and are considered to be unfriendly. Round leaves are more inviting and they represent wealth because of their coin-like shape. Make sure the path is clear of other obstacles as well such as toys, debris, rocks or uneven pavement or cement. Ideally the path and doorway will be clearly identifiable and well-lit. Place a statue, something red, or a lamp post so that you send a message to welcome visitors. If they are unsure where to enter they will likely be unsure that you want them to enter.
Keep the area inside the door clear. If you are a shoe-free home, be sure there is a place to put shoes that will not block the path into the home and don't forget a place for guests to sit while they remove and put on their shoes. If a person has to struggle to enter so does your Chi and very likely your wealth will struggle also.
Feng Shui Prosperity for the Bedroom The bedroom is important because most people spend the majority of their time at home in their bedroom. It doesn't matter that they are sleeping much of this time; it just matters that they are in this room and thus are getting nourished here so whatever energy is in your bedroom is the energy you will be absorbing. Keep your bedroom free of clutter. This is also a room that you want to look like wealth if that is what you want to draw to you.
Often when people decorate their homes, especially when they hire professional decorators, they leave the bedroom(s) for last and if they run out of money they just let them go. From a Feng Shui perspective your bedroom should be the first room that you decorate because it is the room that you spend your time in. Otherwise you are saying that the only rooms that are important are ones that others see and the ones that you alone see aren't important. In other words, other people are worthy but you are not. Doesn't that send a message then about your worthiness to have wealth, abundance and prosperity?
This is not a storage room or a room for the left-over furniture you picked up at a local garage sale, unless it looks stunning. Remember when talking about Feng Shui for Wealth it's not about what something costs, it's about how something looks. It's about how it makes you feel, and what it brings to mind when you see it. So keep your bedroom looking like it's fit for royalty, and you'll feel like royalty. An increase in your prosperity won't be far behind.

Feng Shui prosperity for the Stove The stove is an ancient symbol of wealth. There was a time when only the wealthy had stoves, everyone else cooked outdoors on fire pits. Keep your stove clean and in good working order. Many people tend to use the same one or two burners all the time.
Only when they are cooking that big holiday meal for a large group of people do they use all burners. It’s a good habit to use all burners frequently. Following the belief that stoves represent wealth, then you want wealth coming from multiple sources, multiple burners, rather than from just one source.
We all learned in recent economic times just how true it is that its best to diversify, so try diversifying when you use your stove. Because we tend to use only one or two burners, we may not know if a burner fails or even if we do, we don’t care because there are at least three others to use. Practice good Wealth Awareness and make sure all burners are properly working.
Feng Shui for Prosperity Remember, don’t keep empty vases sitting out for display. Fill them with something; whether that is fresh flowers, silk flowers, a few coins or colorful stones. Empty vessels are just that, empty; they don’t represent wealth but the exact opposite. Again, remember that Feng Shui is about balance and alignment so once you’ve taken care of the three important areas discussed here,
take a look around the rest of your home and property through your “abundance” eyes and make modifications to anything that you don’t think fits into your vision of prosperity, wealth and abundance.
